This unique gourd is a hit with customers. The long necks curve gracefully and enlarge at the end to resemble a swan’s head. The bulbed base measures 6 to 8 in diameter and has a flat bottom for ease of display. Speckled Swan gourds are an excellent item for selling to craft stores, painting or dressing up and displaying at your roadside market.

The gourds are ready to harvest when the stem has dried, the shell is hardened, and the vine has declined. If using the gourds for crafting, dry for three months to get the best results. Space the gourds when drying to protect the skins from touching and developing injuries or mold that could spoil the whole harvest.
